Photo: Vanderbilt fans respond to James Franklin's wish for a welcome home

After winning in Gainesville for the first time since 1945, James Franklin wanted to see Vanderbilt fans welcome the Commodores home, and they responded.

“We’ll start focusing on Kentucky tomorrow, but tonight, we’re going to be focused on Florida and enjoying this win and getting back to Nashville,” Franklin said. “ I expect there’s going to be about 30,000 fans waiting for us in Nashville there by the Star Walk. It’s going to be awesome. I can’t wait to see them.

“So get this video uploaded as soon as possible, so they know to be there.”

It wasn’t 30,000, but a decent crowd was there when Vanderbilt returned home. Vanderbilt has now won six straight November games under Franklin and have a good chance to finish strong, as they did a year ago.
