Butch Jones may not be participating in drills, but that doesn't mean he's not getting a workout.

Before a recent practice, Jones put on a pedometer to measure the number of steps he took and how many calories he burned.

The result was 8,605 steps, which is the equivalent to about four miles, and he burned 260 calories.

"Hopefully our players feed off his energy, they feed off our coaches' energy and I tell you what, this is an eye-opener for all of us," said assistant to the head coach Chris Spognardi.

Take a look.
