Pete Roussel is the #1 most interesting daily read for coaches, college athletic directors, and NFL front-office personnel. A former college football coach, Pete is the only person to cover coaches 365 days a year. Known as the most trusted source on coaching transactions, Pete's passion doesn't stop there. His research, insight, and information are valuable and relied upon. College football enthusiasts crave the unique perspective that only a former coach can offer. After working at Stanford University, Ole Miss, University of Memphis, and Samford University, Pete left the coaching profession after the 2007 season. At that time, he wanted to tap into his entrepreneurial spirit to operate a business centering on helping coaches. FootballScoop, under Pete’s watchful eye, became the most trusted filter for timely and accurate coaching job related information. Having witnessed it first hand, Pete wanted to eliminate rumors that upset coaches and caused a great deal of stress for coaches and their families. His goal was to use the hundreds of contacts he had already established while in the coaching profession in order to provide accurate information. It’s safe to say the goal was accomplished. In addition, by always refraining from reporting NCAA investigation related news, coaching arrests, and other negative information relating to coaches, Pete was able to turn FootballScoop into a highly successful business that received high praise from high school, college, and NFL coaches. During its peak season, as many as 250,000 unique visitors per month followed Pete’s writing on FootballScoop. From the Spring of 2008 until August of 2011, Pete wrote the content for FootballScoop. After the 2010 season, 22 major college programs hired a new head coach. Pete was the first to report the news on 14 of the 22 hires. During his time with FootballScoop, Pete has been the first to report the story on well over 1200 assistant coaching hires. In the last several years, Pete has setup numerous job interviews for graduate assistants and assistant coaches at the college and NFL levels. When assistant coaches need a job, they call or email Pete. His network includes cell numbers for over 600 college and NFL coaches. Pete has decided to launch his next venture, CoachingSearch.com. The new site will provide the most coaching related news of any website throughout the day. In addition to his unique writing style that keeps you informed on coaches, Pete will continue to report coaching changes and hires. As always, you can text message or email tips to Pete. All sources will remain confidential. Pete is a native of New Orleans and currently resides in Oxford, Mississippi. You will often see him at events such as the AFCA Convention, Senior Bowl, NFL combine, Manning Passing Academy, and various coaching clinics throughout the country. Some of the most respected journalists, agents, coaches, and college football experts in the country believe in Pete’s efforts: "If it's happening in the world of coaching, Pete either already knows about it or will know about it before just about anyone else. The contacts he's developed throughout that very guarded fraternity make any website he's connected to a daily must-read for any college football writer or fan in search of the latest, most accurate news on the coaching front." - John Taylor (NBCSports.com) “Pete worked very hard to develop contacts and drive content for FootballScoop. Anybody in the world of college football is aware of the web site. And I expect Pete will do a good job with his newest venture, CoachingSearch.com.” - Joe Schad (ESPN College Football) “Myself and many of the coaches I represent believe Pete Roussel is the most influential person in college football that nobody knows. He is as trustworthy as they come. We have over 100 college coaches that visit our school throughout the year. Almost every one of them followed FootballScoop. They will now follow CoachingSearch.com , I guarantee you.” - Coach Jeff Curtis (John Curtis Christian School – River Ridge, LA) "Keep an eye on this new website.
