Appalachian State: A source tells me that Greg Gasparato has joined the Appalachian State staff as a defensive grad assistant. Gasparato spent last season at Brevard College.

Sam Houston State: Sam Houston State running backs coach Anthony Johnson will join the San Francisco 49ers staff this summer as part of the Bill Walsh Minority internship program.

Prairie View A&M: Mississippi Valley State AD Ashley Robinson has accepted the AD position at Prairie View A&M.

Bowdoin College: Sources tell me that Eric Westerfield has joined the Bowdoin staff as defensive line coach. Westerfield last coached at The Citadel several years ago.

West Alabama: Sources tell me that West Alabama wide receivers / recruiting coordinator / assistant head coach Desmond Lindsey will join the Tennessee Titans' organization as part of the Bill Walsh Minority Fellowship program this summer.

Darrell Dickey: Please keep Memphis offensive coordinator Darrell Dickey and his family in your thoughts.  Dickey lost his mother over the weekend after a long battle with breast cancer. Dickey once served as the head coach at North Texas.  His father was the head coach at Kansas State for nine years in the 1970's and early 80's.

Scott Pioli: Former Kansas City Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli will join the NBC's Sunday Night Football crew as an analyst.

NBC Sports: Former Kansas City Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli has joined NBC's Sunday Night studio coverage, according to Sports Illustrated.

Dallas Cowboys: According to ESPNDallas.com, Tom Ciskowski has been promoted from assistant director of player personnel to director of scouting, while director of football research Will McClay has been promoted to assistant director of player personnel.

Navarro College (TX): A source has informed me that former Idaho State assistant Rudy Griffin has accepted the defensive line job at Navarro College.

Jeff Van Gundy: Coaching has never been valued less and blamed more

Tennessee State: A source has informed me that Tennessee State special teams coordinator David Hood has resigned.

Northern Michigan: The Mining Journal indicates the Northern Michigan head coach Chris Ostrowsky will indeed considering promoting from within for the defensive coordinator job at Northern Michigan. Ostrowsky is expected to consider defensive backs coach Joe Ballard as a replacement for Brian Newberry, who recently accepted the defensive coordinator position at Kennesaw State.
