Iowa: Salaries are as follows: Greg Davis ($300,000), Phil Parker ($301,000), head strength coach Chris Doyle ($299,160), offensive line coach Brian Ferentz ($202,400), linebackers coach LeVar Woods ($187,000), wide receivers coach Erik Campbell ($250,560), defensive line coach Reese Morgan ($248,400), running backs coach Lester Erb ($244,080), defensive backs coach Darrell Wilson ($244,080).

The Citadel: I have learned that The Citadel head coach Kevin Higgins will promote defensive line / assistant head coach Denny Doornbos to defensive coordinator.

Kansas City Chiefs: Romeo Crennel announced today the hiring of Tennessee State offensvie line coach Steven Smith as assistant offensive line coach.

Tennessee: There is a report that The Citadel defensive coordinator / safeties coach Josh Conklin has accepted a position on Derek Dooley's staff. Conklin is expected to coach the defensive backs with Derrek Ansley.

Fort Lewis College: Sources tell me that Dodge City Community College (KS) defensive line / special teams coordinator Bill Griffith has accepted the running backs / tight ends position at Fort Lewis College.

Tennessee: Sources tell me that Tennessee talked with Duke defensive backs coach Derek Jones. I'm told that Jones is going to stay with David Cutcliffe.

UTEP: Former UTEP safeties coach Jim Clark accepted the head coaching job at Jefferson HS (El Paso, TX).

Tampa Bay Bucs: Kansas assistant strength coach Joe Vaughn has joined the Tampa Bay staff as an assistant strength coach.  Also, Kevin MacConnell has been named director of football operations.  MacConnell worked with Schiano at Rutgers.

Auburn: Defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder received a 2-year deal worth $850,000 annually.  Offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Scot Loeffler received a 2-year deal worth $500,000 annually.  Defensive backs coach Willie Martinez received a 1-year contract worth $255,000.

North Dakota State: I have learned that former Tulane defensive coordinator Steve Stanard has accepted the linebackers job at North Dakota State.

Hastings College: Sources tell me MacMurray College offensive coordinator Rich Mayson has accepted the wide receivers / recruiting coordinator job at Hastings College.

Colgate: Offensive coordinator Dan Hunt has added the title of associate head coach.

Rutgers: Tom Liucci of the Star-Ledger is reporting former Columbia head coach Norris Wilson has accepted the running backs job.

Mercer University: Former Coastal Carolina defensive ends / outside linebackers coach Grant Cain has joined the staff as a defensive assistant, while Presyterian defensive tackles coach Justin Brown has joined the staff as defensive line coach.

Rutgers: Sources tell me Rutgers head coach Kyle Flood has narrowed the special teams candidates to three including former Washington State running backs / special teams coordinator Dave Ungerer.

Sacred Heart University: Head coach Paul Gorham is taking a medical leave of absence.  Mark Norfi will serve as the interim head coach.

BYU: Bronco Mendenhall has announced that Andrew George will serve as an offensive grad assistant and former Weber State defensive ends coach Jason Kaufusi will serve as a defensive grad assistant.

Bethune-Cookman: Head coach Brian Jenkins says no offensive coordinator has been hired at this point, but he's negotiating with two candidates.

Georgia State: Sources tell me that former Memphis defensive coordinator Jay Hopson has emerged as a candidate for the defensive coordinator position at Georgia State.

Colorado Mesa: Former Chadron State head coach Bill O'Boyle will join the staff as offensive coordinator.
