James Madison: Tony LeZotte has been promoted to safeties coach. Offensive coordinator Jeff Durden will shift from tight ends to quarterbacks. Durden will also serve as the play-caller. Isai Bradshaw will take over the defensive line for J.C. Price, who recently joined the Marshall coaching staff.
Alabama: Nick Saban has received a contract extension through January 31, 2020. If Saban completes the contract, he will earn $44.983 million, an average of $5.62 million per year. Saban will earn $5.316 million this year, a $550,000 raise. Kirby Smart has received a $100,000 raise to $950,000. Mike Groh, Jeremy Pruitt, and Bobby Williams have received $35,000 raises. Chris Rumph has received a $21,500 raise to $310,000. Burton Burns goes from $280,000 to $290,000. Head strength coach Scott Cochran goes from $290,000 to $325,000. New offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeir will be paid $590,000.
New Orleans Saints: ESPN is reporting that Sean Payton has approached Bill Parcells about coaching the Saints.
Blinn College: Sources tell me that former Missouri Southern defensive coordinator Mike Mutz has accepted the defensive coordinator / linebackers position at Blinn College.
Dartmouth: As previously reported here, Kevin Lewis has now officially joined Buddy Teevens' staff as defensive line coach. Lewis previously served as the defensive line coach at Richmond.
Concord University (WV): Sources tell me that former North Alabama defensive coordinator Tony Pecoraro has joined the Concord University staff as defensive line coach.
Denver Broncos: Sources tell me that former defensive assistant, pro scout, and area scout Phil Armtas is no longer involved with the Broncos' organization.
