"Kliff called. The first thing he said was, 'Are you in?'"

"I said, 'Yep.'"

"(He said) 'I'll call you later with details.'  That was it.  The next time I heard from him was about a week later."

Kingsbury previously worked with Hays while the two coaches were a part of Kevin Sumlin's staff at the University of Houston.
