Jimbo Fisher: I'm not fielding offers; I'm not trying to get involved |

The Seminoles are getting ready for the ACC Championship Game, his defensive coordinator just accepted the head coaching job at Kentucky and rumors are surrounding Fisher and a few coaching vacancies. While on SiriusXM College Sports Nation on Thursday, Fisher said he's not taking offers for other jobs. "I have a great job here. I'm very happy here," he said. "I would like to stay here. I'm not fielding offers, I'm not trying to get involved with offers. Everything I'm trying to do now is some due diligence on looking for a defensive coordinator for the future. "I'm doing some things on that in my spare time when we're not preparing. Other than that, I go in a cave. I'm a guy who goes in there - I don't like the distractions - and focus on our football team and do the things that we need to do." As for that search for a new defensive coordinator, we listed some potential candidates Wednesday. Fisher said that while there is an urgency to hire someone, it's more important to take some time to find the right guy. Fisher also complimented Kentucky athletic director Mitch Barnhart in understanding the constraints the Seminoles have been under. Fisher said Barnhart was very professional throughout the process, and thought Kentucky hired a great coach in Mark Stoops. "I think he'll do well," Fisher said of Stoops. "I think he's got a great pedigree. He's an unbelievably hard worker, very dedicated and has a passion for what he does. He's organized and I think he has a plan for the things he wants to do.
