Posted by: Chris Vannini on January 14, 2013 The first game of a coach's new job can often set the tone - at least in the eyes of the fans. For the 29 new head coaches in FBS, 13 open up at home next season, 10 open on the road, four open at a neutral site and three don't have their first game announced yet. Six new head coaches will be facing off with another coach making his debut at that school. A reader passed along a nugget that Northwestern faces four new coaches in its first six games (Cal, Syracuse, Western Michigan, Wisconsin). Here are the 2013 openers for the new head coaches in FBS: Arkansas (Bret Bielema): Louisiana-Lafayette Arkansas State (Bryan Harsin): Arkansas-Pine Bluff Auburn (Gus Malzahn): Washington State Boston College (Steve Addazio): Stony Brook Cal (Sonny Dykes): Northwestern Cincinnati (Tommy Tuberville): Purdue Colorado (Mike MacIntyre): Colorado State (in Denver) FIU (Ron Turner): at Maryland Georgia State (Trent Miles): TBA Idaho (Paul Petrino): at North Texas Kent State (Paul Haynes): Liberty Kentucky (Mark Stoops): Western Kentucky (in Nashville) LA Tech (Skip Holtz): at NC State NC State (Dave Doeren): Louisiana Tech Nevada (Brian Polian): at UCLA Northern Illinois (Rod Carey): at Iowa Purdue (Darrell Hazell): at Cincinnati San Jose State (Ron Caragher): TBA South Florida (Willie Taggart): McNeese State Southern Miss (Todd Monken): Texas State Syracuse (Scott Schafer): Penn State (in East Rutherford, NJ) Temple (Matt Rhule): at Notre Dame Tennessee (Butch Jones): Austin Peay Texas Tech (Kliff Kingsbury): at SMU UTEP (Sean Kugler): TBA Utah State (Matt Wells): at Utah Western Kentucky (Bobby Petrino): Kentucky (in Nashville) Western Michigan (PJ Fleck): at Michigan State Wisconsin (Gary Anderson): UMass _______________
