Posted by: Pete Roussel January 27, 2012 Now that the New Orleans Saints' season has ended, Tulane finally has their new head football coach Curtis Johnson on a full-time basis. Former Saints' wide receivers coach Curtis Johnson somehow found his way from Harahan, site of the Saints' facility, to uptown New Orleans just 18 days before National Signing Day. And he's asking for just $20 million. Beautiful. That's right. With the new on-campus stadium becoming a reality at Tulane, the university is now just $20 million shy of their fundraising goal. Tulane initially launched the campaign in early December that set out to raise a total of $70 million. The new Tulane Stadium is expected to cost $60 million, but the athletic department would like to raise an extra $10 million to inject into the football department. Well over $40 million has been raised in private capital donations. The university is hoping that the new stadium will be ready to go for the start of the 2014 season. Johnson, who served as the wide receivers coach for the New Orleans Saints the last several years, will coach his first game as a head coach in the Superdome next fall when Tulane hosts Rutgers on opening weekend of college football. Both teams will have a new head coach. Here's "C.J." asking for a cool $20 million: (I have heard that Devery, Colston, and Lance Moore each contributed $12 bucks.)
