Former UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel, serving as a CBS National Signing Day guest, admittedly was marveled that Nick Saban was once again able to land top rated defensive backs out of Louisiana and Atlanta during Wednesday's signing period.

It seems that Saban is loaded in the secondary every single year.

Neuheisal asked Saban why the best of the best defensive backs seem to want to play for in Saban's defensive system.

Saban interestingly responded, "You would almost have to ask them that question, but I do think there is a history of success that has gone along back to Michigan State, LSU, and here.  A lot of the players that play in our secondary really have a pretty good success rate at developing a career for themselves in playing at the next level."

"If a player is interested in that, that's not what we're here for.  We are here for them to develop personally, academically, and athletically.  Then they have a chance to do that.  I do think that because we play a pro style system in the secondary, maybe we do more things, we teach more things and guys have to learn conceptually how to plug things in.  But I also think players are intrigued by that and I also think players are more prepared to do more than and adjust better in a game when you coach them that way."

New Orleans native Landon Collins (Rivals 5-star) and Atlanta native Geno Smith (Rivals 4-star) each signed with the Crimson Tide, which finished the day with the #1 team ranking, according to Rivals.
