New defensive coordinator Chris Cosh, soon to pull a hammy, set the tempo from the very start during pursuit drill. Cosh, unofficially, is the only coach in the country today that participated in up-downs. In unrelated news, you have got to see the new website gutters that South Florida is showcasing on their official site. That can't hurt recruiting! Skip Holtz and his staff will host their high school coaches clinic beginning Thursday. Holtz doesn't have the lineup that Alabama has this weekend (which includes Lou Holtz), but Greg Schiano and Randy Shannon will be speaking. Wednesday's practice was the first for Holtz' reshuffled staff. It was also the first practice for new wide receivers coach Jerome Pathon, who joined the staff after spending the last couple of years at University of San Diego.
