For the first time, South Alabama head coach Joey Jones and his staff are preparing for a full slate of DI football games.

After winning 23 of 27 games since starting football in 2009, the Jaguars will compete in the Sun Belt Conference next season.  The first four games include UT-San Antonio, Nichols State, at NC State, and at Mississippi State.

Ineligible for post-season play for one year, the Jaguars will play a thirteenth game at Hawaii.

This off-season, Joey Jones brought in new offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Robert Matthews, who previously served as the Southern Miss tight ends / recruiting coordinator under Larry Fedora.  Former Memphis wide receivers coach Jerry Mack has also joined the staff in the same capacity.

Today, the South Alabama athletic department released a video of the Jaguars' football facilities.  To say the least, you may be surprised.

Take a look, right here.  These facilities will certainly allow South Alabama the ability to legitimately compete in the Sun Belt Conference.
